In light of the events in Batman Eternal, Bruce Wayne loses his fortune. Arkham Asylum was destroyed. Gotham City decides to take over Wayne's mansion and turn it into a new mental hospital. To be honest, this seemed like another ridiculous premise to a comic. And given how Wayne keeps operating, one has to wonder what the definition of losing it all is.

Actually, the story gets better as you keep reading, and I ended up really liking this one. Soon, mayhem erupts in the new Arkham. Murders start happening, and it's up to Batman to solve them. An old enemy resurfaces, and a new enemy is prowling. The story contains some good suspense and action, so it makes a pretty good thriller. Overall, it was a good and quick read with a satisfying ending.

4 out of 5 stars.
