Through the Kept-Up Librarian, a report from The New York Times that applications from foreign students are increasing again. This comes after a two year slump mostly due to September 11 events and security issues. However, application numbers are still lower than they were prior to 2003 according to the survey conducted by the Council of Graduate Schools.
The NYT article is entitled "In reversal, graduate school applications from foreigners rise," and it was published in March 23, 2006. No link as the NYT requires registration. I read it myself on Lexis-Nexis. I wrote previously about the decline in enrollment for foreign students here and here.
