Drift left the Autobots in disgrace. Before becoming an Autobot, he was a Decepticon. Now, this hero with a checkered past is on a solo mission to help the helpless and defeat rogue Decepticons. Then Ratchet shows up to try to take Drift home. However, they become entangled with a band of rogue Decepticons seeking to resurrect a stone army, which they intend to use to enslave the galaxy.
Though this is part of a series, you get enough information that you can read this on its own. It has a fast pace, and it has plenty of action. It is a quick and entertaining read. I really liked it for both a good story and nice art. Fans who follow the Transformers comics will likely want to read this one. It is a good selection for public libraries, especially if they already collect other Transformers titles.
I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars.
