The 70th volume of the series, and this comic strip keeps on going. To be honest, Davis has long ago found his formula, and he sticks to it. The volume offers more of that light humor and amusement that Garfield is known for. Among the highlights, in Hard Times Garfield has Pooky to comfort him, and Jon has trouble swiping the debit card to buy some chips. That is a problem I am sure a few debit card users can find relatable. Overall, this was a nice comfort read that keeps it simple.

3 out of 5 stars.
