Neela Sethi, a physicist, and her partner Ank are time travelers protecting the time stream. To help with the latest threat, an A.I. trying to destroy the time lines, they recruit Faith Herbert, a.k.a. Zephyr, a celebrity superhero from Los Angeles and fan girl to help. Soon they realize Faith can't do it alone, and she makes a few phone calls to get some friends to help.

Neela and Ank convince Faith to go along fairly easily. Note that while there are some references to a back story, such as Faith having been framed for a murder, which has her living underground so far, this story pretty much stands on its own. The story soon becomes a small crossover event as other heroes from the Valiant roster join in. At times the plot can be very vague as it takes a while to see what Neela's motives really are. In the end, the problem is solved in a bit of an unconventional way with a touch of humor.

The story overall is light and humorous at times. Like other time travel tales, you get a bit of hitting the "reset button" before they get it right. The story is cute, amusing at times, but not really substantial or memorable. I like it, and I may read other stories in the series, but this was no big deal. It was nice, cute. I'd say it is one to borrow.

3 out of 5 stars.
